OMOMUKI 趣
Towards a Deep Ecology of Technology, Art, Therapy and Being
Omomuki (趣) is an ancient Japanese concept that evokes the precise atmosphere, mood, and subtle flavor of a place or moment. In an increasingly chaotic, fragmented, and automated world, this program provides an independent, pathless sanctuary to explore what it means to be an authentic relational being.
This is an active process in existential exploration that seamlessly integrates painting, dance, photography, film, writing, and play with mindfulness, deep ecology, and clinical psychotherapy—completely free of institutional dogma. We begin creating in are in relation and response to whichever location and world we find ourselves in, with a Beginner's Mind.
The program is designed specifically for creative travelers, outcasts and maverick explorers, looking to navigate the planetary crisis by reclaiming the poignant transience (Mono no Aware) of their immediate biological density. We do not look back at history as a dead archive; we carry the entire lineage into this immediate, breathing vertical second.

THE DEEP ECOLOGICAL LINEAGE
.
More than a therapeutic program, OMOMUKI 趣 is a daily way of being: a path of creativity, ecological awareness, and existential inquiry designed to cultivate sensitivity, presence, and the subtle art of truly inhabiting our senses. This process is what opens the clearing for what I call: THE DELICIOUS DELIGHT OF LIVING.
.
The soul of this contemporary program plays with both traditional and experimental media, rooted in an inter-burning field of presence that connects directly to profound historical ideas, particularly the ancient yoga and meditation philosophies of the Natya Shastra from India, and the aesthetic voids of Japan.
.

TESTIMONIAL:
Raphael has a way of immediately making people feel at ease with the present. Feelings and thoughts are validated in that moment. This made it possible for communication and engagement to flow. The students valued Raphael's demystification of quite complex philosophical ideas. They were able to examine their everyday experiences and appreciate the art of simplicity and conviviality in a present and authentic way.
— Dr. Daniel Somerville, Senior Lecturer, University of Worcester, UK (Commenting on Raphael’s masterclasses)
